Variant Selector Updates

Our Variant Selector is now more powerful and flexible, enabling advanced configurations and new use cases.

• Product Listing Page Support: Use variant selectors directly in product cards on listing pages — perfect for letting customers interact with different options (like colors) to update images, prices, and discounts.

• Quick Purchase: Let customers add to cart or buy now directly from product listing pages by selecting a variant (when purchase action is enabled)

• Multiple Selectors per Page: Display different variant groups (e.g. Color, Size) using multiple components, each with their own filters, styles, and behavior.

• Persist Selections: When a user selects a variant and clicks into the product page, their selection is retained — no need to reselect.

• Variant-Specific URLs: Full variant selections now append the variant ID to the URL – great for sharing or bookmarking.

• Out-of-Stock Support: Allow selection of out-of-stock variants with new optional strikethrough styling.

• Layout & Styling Options: Choose between Stack or Grid layouts for buttons, new container background and radius controls

Variant Images Updates

Setting up product showcases is easier and more flexible, now with support for variant-specific images.

• Variant-Specific Image Filtering: Enable “Filter Variants” on FC_ProductImageVariantStatic and/or FC_ProductImageSlideshow to only show images tied to the selected variant. Just add the respective variant title to each image’s Alt Text in Shopify and sync in the CMS.

• More verstaile ImageVariantStatic component: FC_ProductImageVariantThumbnail is now called FC_ProductImageStatic and can be used to display images inline (to support variant-based image filtering) or optionally act as a thumbnail (now supports triggering scroll sections or tap events along with directly customizable hover/active states)

• Simplified Gallery Setup: No need for nested galleries or complex interactions anymore – FC_ProductImageStatic and FC_ProductImageVariant now work seamlessly together

• More Image Variables: FC_ProductImageSlideshow and FC_ProductImageVariant now handle more images and include explicit controls for the number of visible image fields

Pricing Updates

Pricing display now better reflects product and variant states.

• Product Price: Products with multiple prices across variants now show a “from” price or price range when no or partial variant is selected

• Compare Price: Added prefix text option, and now defaults to hidden unless the compare price is consistent across all variants or a full selection is made

• Discount Badge Logic: Displays “from X off” when discounts vary across variants (configurable)

CMS Improvements

Expanded support for Shopify metafields, new custom fields, and improved import reliability.

• Metafields: Now support field types and create multiple fields when applicable

• Product Images: Alt Text is now imported from Shopify

• Custom fields: Files (including videos) and Reference fields (for products) are now available as Framer-editable fields

Catalog Display Updates

Customization and layout options to improve design flexibility.

• Responsive Instances: Use unique product cards for desktop vs. phone without duplicating the entire component

• Gap Controls: Separate vertical spacing (Gap Y) prop for both Grid and Stack layouts

• Container Styling: Background and border-radius controls for the whole component

Plugin Updates

General quality of life improvements.

• Default Markets: Updating this setting now updates all canvas components to reflect the correct default country and currency

• Store Management: On the Store Details screen, click Refresh to sync changes to your plan, domain, or token from the web app, or Disconnect from Project to remove the store

• Permissions: Global permission checks added to the plugin for smoother experience across user roles

• Cart Trigger: Brought all users to the latest version, now supporting component instances and optional empty states.

Data & Tracking

Google & Meta improvements, and new UpPromote tracking.

• Google Analytics & Meta Pixels: Added more thorough event tracking and documentation

• UpPromote Affiliate Tracking: sca_ref paramaters are now preserved through Shopify checkout

• Real Variant Selector Data on Canvas:

Connect the “Variants” variable to your CMS and see live product data directly in the canvas. When you update Swatches in the plugin, they’ll now be reflected in your components.

• Variant Selector Images:

Upload custom Image Swatches or display your CMS Images that are mapped to each variant. Configure your images and values from Store Settings, then style them in your component.

• Initial Search State:

Preload your Search modal with popular products or suggested searches to speed up discovery before users even type.

• Sort Button: A new way to sort your products with custom radio buttons.

• Centralized Sorting Defaults: Set your default Sort value once in your Store Settings to auto-update your components on the canvas.

• Filters: Custom filter buttons let customers drill down by variant, tags, prices, and more. All with instant, URL-stored results for easy saving & sharing.

• Search: Build a tailored search experience that updates live as users type or directs them to a dedicated results page.

• Sort: Add dynamic sorting options including name, price, best-selling, and recency.

• Favorite: Let visitors save products for later with a single click. No account needed, and favorites persist on return visits.
